• Ongoing leadership and development of Financial Planning Program at BSU including bringing the program to CFP Board Registered status.  
• Development of internship program with corporate donors and other finance professionals for financial planning students.
• Teaching undergraduate courses in Financial Planning and Corporate Finance. The incumbent will teach undergraduate courses including, but not limited to, Foundations to Financial Planning, Planning for Taxes, Retirement Readiness: Behavioral Finance and Income Planning, Lagacy Planning, Behavior Investing and Portfolio Management, Financial Planning Capstone, Financial Management, Real Estate and Risk Management and Insurance. 
• Contributing to a program of scholarship within the discipline, advising students, serving the University and community, and other associated faculty duties. 
• Designing and delivering courses for on-campus and online delivery, as needed.
• Advising and supporting students' academic progress.
• Pursing scholarly and/or creative activities.
• Contributing to a collegial and supportive environment that advances the goals of the department, including curriculum development, assessment, and other departmental governance activities.
• Contributing to interdisciplinary teaching and involvement in activities that support BSU's Shared Fundamental Values.
• Assist with programmatic accreditation.

• A master's degree (e.g., MBA, M.S. in Financial Planning, or M.S. in Finance) in Financial Planning, Finance, or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required at the time of appointment. ABD and doctoral candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. 
• Demonstrated commitment to quality teaching and student development
• Ability to teach in multiple modalities, including online, HyFlex/Multimodal, and in-person, or a willingness to develop these skills.
• Interest in and commitment to diverse cultures and populations.
• Strong interest in engaging with business and industry to ensure courses remain current, career-relevant, and aligned with workforce needs.

• PhD or DBA in Financial Planning, Finance, or a closely related field is required.
• Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification.
• Industry experience in Financial Planning.
• Industry experience or research expertise in AI, GenAI, or related areas.
• Experience teaching Financial Planning and Finance courses.
• Experience in coaching and mentoring students.
• Experience with guiding a financial planning program through CFP Board registration.
• A track record of building relationships with business and industry stakeholders.
• A demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence, equitable opportunities, mutual understanding and respect, and the success of all students and employees, as reflected through teaching, service, scholarship, and collaboration with diverse learners and colleagues.
